LACEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE gives scholarship and “Welcome to Lacey” gift bag

In May of 2011, our first scholarship of $500 was given out at the Lacey Township High School Awards Night. Since then, we have successfully hosted numerous other events including comedy shows to raise money for this fund.

The “Welcome to Lacey” gift bag project was being carried on by the Lacey Senior Committee, after the original Chamber disbanded. The Senior Committee contacted the Chamber to see if were interested in resuming the responsibilities of the program. This project was created to deliver a bag of goods, coupons, and marketing materials from businesses serving the area to all of the new residents in Lacey Township. This was a great way for members to reach new residents in town and provided the homeowners with items, information and discount opportunities from the local businesses. These deliveries take place approximately once every three months and have been a great success.
