Help us Kick Off 2015 with Footloose! Enjoy one of the shows this coming weekend, Jan. 24 (Sat) @ 7:00 pm, and Jan. 25 (Sun) @ 2:00 pm. Footloose is musical version of the hit 1984 film. Rebellious teenager Ren McCormack moves to a small middle-American town where dance is forbidden - and encourages his classmates to defy the local pastor and call for a rock'n'roll prom. Come out to our special library system-wide event: “A Year in the Life of Downton Abbey” Main Branch, Toms River, 101 Washington Street. Saturday Jan. 24, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Friends of the Library are happy to host author Jessica Fellowes, author of the Downton Abbey Companion Books. Ms. Fellowes is the niece of Lord Julian Fellowes, creator and writer of “Downton Abbey.” She has written three official companion books to the Emmy-award winning show, including her latest, “A Year in the Life of Downton Abbey: Seasonal Celebrations, Traditions and Recipes,” that was released October 28, 2014. Ms. Fellowes will share her insights and the tips she has gleaned from the show during this Jan. 24th presentation. Tickets for the fundraiser are available at two price levels:
-The $35 general admission will include a presentation and book signing by Jessica Fellowes.
-The $75 VIP ticket includes the presentation and book signing as well as an author reception, light refreshments, and priority seating during her presentation.

The local Rotary is hosting a Chef's Night Out on January 25, 2015 (the Sunday before the Big Game).

The local Cub Scouts of Pack 35 are gearing up for their annual Pinewood Derby on January 31. Every boy who participates gets a goody bag of toys, hats, shirts, etc. to take home.
