Chamber & Member Announcements:

1. LCOC GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Our next General Membership meeting is Wednesday, January 14, at the Il Giardino. Details to follow.

2. LCOC BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS

a. The Board has made the following officer appointments for the upcoming year: John Cafiero, President; Jamie Johnston, Vice President and Chair of the Membership Committee; LuAnn Ford, Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee; Jason Henbest, Secretary; Alan Thatcher, Director of Operations and Chair of the Events Committee; and Dawn Malinowski, Director of Communications and Chair of the Communications Committee.

b. The Board is looking to hire the Chamber's first Executive Director on a part-time basis. We are seeking a candidate who will staff the Chamber office as a Welcome Center, help to grow the Chamber by networking with local businesses and community leaders, and help keep our projects, events, and fundraisers on track! We see this as a great opportunity to increase the Chamber's, and its members', profiles and to provide an even greater value to our members. c. The Chamber Events Committee is meeting tomorrow, December 18, at 5:00 PM at the Home Turf office (3 Union Blvd., Barnegat, NJ).

3. FROM LACEY FOOD BANK

TOMORROW, Thursday, December 18, is the drop off for donations to the Lacey Food Bank's Kids Christmas Project.

4. FROM DREAMSCAPES MUSIC

Dreamscapes Music Productions will be having its Winter Artist Showcase at The Cove in Bayville on December 20, 2014, at 12:00 noon. This is a free event, open to the public. Enjoy lunch overlooking the beautiful Barnegat Bay and listen to students, recording artists, and songwriters perform music. You will also have the chance to sign up for 2015 lessons at a special discounted rate!

And be sure to come out on New Year's Eve with White Rabbit at 8:00 PM at the Captain's Inn!

5. FROM COMMUNITY OPTIONS

Community Options is hosting the Cupid's Chase 5K on February 14, 2015, in Seaside Heights.

6. FROM FORKED RIVER ROTARY

The local Rotary is hosting a Chef's Night Out on January 25, 2015 (the Sunday before the Big Game).
